Programs and Initatives
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
For Ages 0 - Kindergarten
The goal of this free program is to read 1,000 books to your child before he or she starts kindergarten. Parents or other caregivers can visit any Warren-Trumbull County Public Library location and pick up a keepsake booklet to participate in the program. Use the booklet to track the number of books read with your child on your way to reaching 1,000.
Your child can color in or work on different skills for each 100 books read. Every book counts, even if you re-read books that your child loves. Don’t forget books read by teachers, librarians, siblings, and other family and friends. Stop by the library and pick up a prize for each level!
You can choose to participate in 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten online. Create a free account through Beanstack, our convenient online platform. Track reading progress and then visit any Warren-Trumbull County Public Library location to pick up prizes.
